Pair of 1960’s Larson Pyramid Speaker Enclosures   £295 or near offer

1960's Larson Pyramid Speakers 1

I have owned these Speakers for a few decades - played mostly Classical music on them because of their mellow sound compared to today’s units. They have been stored with care for the last 16 years although and have never been roughly treated, but even so, there is some chipping to the laminate which I show in close up further down the page. The ‘Pyramids’ are a style icon of Swedish design from the 1960’s and not only look good in both contemporary and traditional settings, they also sound good. This omni-directional design has one 10” bass drive unit pointing at the floor and a second high frequency unit pointing straight up through the grill. This design widens the stereo soundstage and means you are not restricted to one position to enjoy the music

These speakers are rare and don’t come onto the market often. There is little information about them on the web, but I will try to find the technical spec and post it later.

I don’t believe it would be a difficult or big job to restore them to mint condition, the metal mesh grills are undented and solid and the (melamine?) laminate surface will take resurfacing and spraying.

Larson Pyramid Damage

This is the worst damage on either enclosure, but would easily be repaired by a competent DIY person.
